For as long as I can remember, my family has kept a large hobby garden on our acreage. Like most summers, we had an abundance of onions. Heres how to store them for several months in the winter:

Harvest Onions

Set them to cure or dry in the sun for 24 hours

Buy cheap pantyhose or tights.

Slide onion into pantyhose and tie off the top like a balloon. Repeat steps til full.

Place onions in cold dark storage space.

The onions stay fresh for 3-4 months.
